Nian and her many A's!
It's official! for her SPM , my youngest sister obtained 7A's and 2B+'s ! WOW! What an accomplishment. Some might say , "So what"? Lots of students got straight A's! Yes I agree . However , to our family the result that she gloriously and painstakingly work hard for , is a big deal! For months and months , she burned the midnight oil to do revision, practise maths questions until we had to ask her to slow down! That is the kind of person my sister is.Hardworking and determined . I am just sad that my father is not here to share the wonderful moment. I am sure he would have been very proud. So, Nian, if you are reading this. Your journey does not stop here. You still have a long road ahead of you. However, if you keep on doing what you are doing right now, you are definitely on the right track. Did I forget to say it? Nian, I am so PROUD of you!!!

True confession of a chocoholic
Of food and weddings
I love weddings! I love the idea of 2 people in love finally joined in matrimony. As I radiate such positive energy about weddings, my children got infected with the bug too! However, their love for weddings has nothing to do with romance! They enjoy getting candies, goodie bags and eating scrumptious food. Recently, I went to a relative's wedding. We got there early. It was the usual things you would expect in a wedding ceremony. Beautifully made up bride, handsome bridegroom, contented parents and loud music. However, what was a bit unusual about this wedding was nobody greeted or welcomed us. Maybe the hosts were too exhausted to come and say hello. Anyway, that did not stop us from enjoying the food though!
On a different note, I notice that brides and bridegrooms of this generation are no longer shy and unsure. They are usually the ones who would take charge and would go from table to table to greet their friends and relatives. What about the food served at weddings? Some hosts would go all out to make sure their guests leave with full bellies and a big smile on their face. 'Nasi minyak' is not the only dish nowadays. Sweet porridge is a popular choice for a side dish. Cendol, ice cream and kuih muih are often found at Malay weddings. Who are happiest at these kinds of weddings? My family and I , of course!

my first entry!
This is my first entry. Yay! I have always wanted to create my own blog. However, time and laziness played a major part why my plan did not materialise. Today however, is a new story! Well, actually, it's an era of a new dawn. I'm finally on my way to become IT savvy! Hopefully it's not wishful thinking! Ha..ha..ha..! My blog will be about my thoughts and observations of life, namely mine and those who are close and dear to me.
