Travelog Haji-Mengubah Sempadan Iman

My many hats

My life is so compartmentalized that sometimes it's hard for me to switch roles. I am foremost, a wife then  a mother, a lecturer, a daughter, a sister and a friend. During office hours, I have to put on my lecturer's hat and perform my core business, teach. However, I am also bogged down by clerical work and  other responsibilities such as  Unit's treasurer, Portal committee member etc.

At home, I have to switch my role as a wife and a mother. Don't get me wrong! I am not complaining! But, yesterday these many hats I have to put on really took a toll on me. I almost fell asleep while driving back home! Phew! Luckily, my children were in the car to keep me awake. I don't know what would I do if something happened to my children. I suppose what I'm trying to say here is that I need to take care of myself in order to take care of the people I love. Sometimes I feel so drained of energy that I have to literally drag myself to do all the house chores.

From now on, I have to get enough sleep, take supplements and just be happy (the last part is soo.. not a problem for me)

Beris Lake Vineyard

Who would have thought that I would be able to visit a plantation of grape-bearing vines, here in Malaysia! Yep!! To everybody who is reading this post, I advise you to go there yourself. Beris Lake Vineyard is situated in Sik, Kedah. This plantation is fully owned by a private company, Excel Agtotech Sdn Bhd,. There are no shopping malls there, no stalls selling souvenirs. However, it is the best place to go if you like to see lots of green. There is also a beautiful lake next to the vineyard. When we got there, it was drizzling. Surprisingly, the gloomy weather did not dampen my children's mood. Wafi happily ran around the vineyard with his cousins.

Ok, we know they are grapes!

Happy, oily faces. He..he..he..
I wish could pluck them!
Ok, I was just joking!!
Mak - the budding photographer!
Bang Chik and Bang Ngah - enjoying themselves
Wafi  -ever a happy child!

A day of celebration

A few weeks ago, my cousin got married.  It was really a day of celebration for our family as this is her first wedding and she is in her 40s. I am a firm believer that everybody deserves to be happy and it still warms my heart thinking of my dearest cousin who looked so radiant that day. Ahh.. to be in love! Young and old alike. Those who were struck by Cupid's arrow would noticeably be giggly, love struck and surely there'll be spring on their steps! I wish nothing but the best for you, Kak Za.

Nadia, Syera and As - contented faces

Hazim - filling his time playing games

                                      my comel nephew - Aqil

Kak Za - not ready with the make up yet!

Mak and Syera - all smiles!!

Something her brother said that made Syera laughed

Nadia - not really in this planet!! He..he..he..

                                                 little muffin, Nina

Before I end my scribblings, I just want to say that Nina really ate that day! She had three helpings of Nasi Hujan Panas and a bowl of Bubur Kacang Hijau. Half an hour after that, she told me she felt like throwing up! Funny girl!

To You, My Daughter, My Pride, My Joy

Sweet as only sugar can be, I describe you
Always such a joy, to have and to hold
Readily there, to share my view
Always thoughtful and caring, as good as gold
Having you is like a dream come true.

Intelligent, insightful and inspiring
Ravishing smile of yours tugs at my heartstrings,
Dare I ask Allah for anything more?
Indeed I have been blessed to have you dear
Near me always I want you to be
All my love and blessings I dedicate to thee.

Happy birthday, my little Muffin! Ummi sayang Nina, muah!!
